Increased Typhoon and heavy rainfall Disaster Support Funds to be distributed this month
The government's Disaster Support Funds arranged for those affected by the typhoon and heavy rainfall have increased greatly.
This is according to Jeonnam Province on Sept. 15th that the Restoration Support Funds were increased through final discussions with the Ministry of Interior and Safety and other relevant offices.
Therefore, there will be an increase in the amount of distribution beginning with damaged agricultural and fishing industries which had been impacted since Jul. 28th.
Kim YeongLok(김영록), the Jeonnam Governor suggested realistic support measures for residents' restoration of their damaged residences.
This was at the Heavy Rainfall Damage Countermeasures Meeting conducted with the Prime Minister presiding.
Therefore, there were increases in the categories such as the casualty support fund from the former 10 million won to 20 million won. Also, there were increases of the residential restoration funds of 13 million won to 16 million won and restoration funds for flooded residences from the former 1 million won to 2 million won.
